The author supports the reading and says that nothing plainly contradicts 'the river where the storehouse stood', while he sees few names of the same shape. He offers the ridge west of the river, called Fūsawa cape on the Sendai domain map of eastern Ezo, as the storehouse the name may refer to, reading Fūsawa as pu-sapa 'the head of the storehouse'; the river beside that cape would then be Buubetsu. hure-pet 'red river' is also current.
