松浦図 writes the name クシナフヒヲマイ; elsewhere it is クシナブイ, and the Japanese name of the place is 穴澗.

The author takes the name to refer to the sea cave, the way people went through in earlier times. The cape at the Unoiwa tunnel is severe going, climbing and descending among large rocks with a constant risk of a fall; the author tried a little of it and judged it beyond him.
puy and oma are dictionary words in the proposed senses, and Tamura's entry for puy specifies a hole something passes through. kusna is not carried by either dictionary consulted here.
