The Ainu head form is simply mosir 'island'; mindru in the two islet names recurs nowhere else in Torii's lists.

Torii gives Móshiri as the head form and two names for the two islets: Haito-mindru 'where people are' and Piraru-mindru 'where sea lions are'.
