At the thaw more than twenty waterfalls hang along this stretch. The 雷電のはなし records that at 滝の下 one walked from stone to stone with the spray making them slippery, all the way to the Hashigo-daki, and the 罕有日記 of Ansei 4 draws four waterfalls in a row.
