らしょわとう Rasshua

Rasshua marks a boundary in グリゴリ's usage: the islands from Rasshua south he sometimes called Samuru and their people Samuru-guru (p. 36).

    Torii gives the form without comment; his list of places on the island (pp. 56–59) came from ラウレンチ and グリゴリ (p. 40).

    Мотого, Шашова, Ушитир, Китуй и Шимушир…

    From Müller's list, spelt Шашово a few lines later (p. 170).

    The eighteenth-century Russian record has Шашово четвертой на десять (Козыревский 1725–1726), Шашово, осьмой (1730), Шатово (карта Львова 1726), Машово четырнадцатый (Миллер 1737); Расагу appears in Иван Черный's diary of 1769 and Рашауа with Крузенштерн 1810.
