尻深 しりぶか Shiribuka

Ainu spellings: Sir-pukka, Sir-un-ka
Shiribuka drops out of the later Matsumae records as well. The Ainu of Shiribuka took part in the Kanbun uprising of 1669 under the chief Kannekuruma, in which thirty Japanese were killed there; Kannekuruma paid compensation and was not executed.

In Meiji the name was struck from the maps entirely, while other Ainu-derived names of the area — Riyamunai, Shibui, Hattari, Horoni — were kept.

Taken to be the meander reach on the lower Horikappu, where the Hattari dunes rise. Like Horikappu it is a name for the landform at the river mouth.
sir is the land and hill noun; pukka is in neither dictionary. The referent is read from the landform at the mouth.
